Should I try to negotiate the debts on my report before starting your credit repair program?
If you are going to start the Sky Blue Credit Repair program we suggest you wait until we have reviewed your credit reports before attempting to settle a debt. During our review process we will investigate the statute of limitation for the debt. The statute of limitation determines the length of time a debt can be collected through the courts. If the debt is past this point the collector has no leverage and should be eager to negotiate. We would like to have the opportunity to advise you accordingly.
Use Credit Repair to Your Advantage
In addition, there is some likelihood that the collector no longer owns the debt. This may surprise you, but a significant percentage of collections represented on credit reports have been sold to other collectors or returned to the original creditor. You do not want to make the mistake of offering money to a collector just because they have a presence on your credit report. It is quite possible to pay a collector, only to discover later that another collector has the legal right to collect the same debt. Our examination may lead us to the conclusion that the debt is not valid. A little credit repair investigation may save you money, trouble, and frustration.
